Custom profile guide

How to Request a Custom PVC Profile from a Drawing or Sample

You can start a custom PVC extrusion enquiry with a drawing or a physical sample. The first conversation is about what the profile needs to do, which details matter and what we should review before tooling. You do not need to know every production detail before contacting us.

Choose the starting point you have

A dimensioned drawing helps communicate the cross-section and any features along the length. If you have an existing sample instead, share clear photographs and explain its use. We can then discuss how to provide the physical sample for review. A photograph helps start the conversation; it does not by itself define every dimension or production requirement.

If the part fits another component, show the mating part or explain the fit. Tell us which features must work together rather than assuming that every dimension has the same importance.

A practical enquiry checklist

Information to include when available
Item What to share
Drawing or sample Cross-section drawing and revision, or photographs and a description of the sample.
Application What the part does, how it is installed and the environment in which it will be used.
Dimensions and fit Key dimensions, mating components, required tolerances and the units used.
Material Known material specification, or the requirements you need us to review.
Appearance Colour reference, visible surfaces and the required surface appearance.
Length and processing Finished cut lengths and any holes, engraving or welding requirements.
Quantity and delivery Initial quantity, unit of measure, expected repeat demand and destination.
Packaging Product protection, handling, labelling or pack-size requirements.

Make dimensions easy to interpret

Label the units on the drawing. If your project uses inches, say so explicitly; do not mix inch and millimetre values without identifying them. Include the drawing revision or date so that discussions refer to the same version.

Distinguish a target dimension from a tolerance or a critical fit. Highlight the features that control assembly, and tell us how you intend to check them. Required tolerances are reviewed for the particular profile; there is no single tolerance promise for every custom shape.

If the material is not settled yet

Tell us about the application rather than selecting a material name simply because a similar-looking part uses it. Our main business is custom PVC extrusion in our own workshop. Requests for PE, ABS and PP are reviewed against the application and project requirements.

Share any required material specification or compliance documents at the enquiry stage. A certificate shown on the website should be read in its stated scope; it does not automatically confirm that a new profile or material meets your project requirements.

What happens after the first review

We review the drawing or sample and discuss the profile requirements with you. For projects requiring new tooling, the quotation, order requirements and payment arrangements are confirmed before tooling begins. Trial samples are then reviewed against the agreed requirements before mass production is approved.

Tooling arrangements, quantity requirements, pricing and timing are confirmed for the individual project. An enquiry is a starting point for that review, rather than a production approval.

A short brief you can copy

We need a custom profile for [application]. We have [a drawing / a sample]. The key fit or dimension is [detail]. Our initial quantity is [quantity and unit], delivered to [country or postcode]. We would also like to discuss [cut length / processing / packaging]. Please let us know what information you need for the first review.

Use the enquiry form or WhatsApp to start. For drawings, follow the file formats and upload limits shown on the form. For a physical sample, agree the delivery instructions with us before sending it.
